GROUPS with great ideas to make their communities better places to live are invited to apply for funds to realise them.
The Active Communities funding programme, ran by People’s Health Trust, is for community groups and not-for-profit organisations with an income of less than £350,000 a year or an average of £350,000 over two years who need £5,000 to £50,000 for projects.
Organisers want to hear about small, localised projects which are designed and run by local people and hopes to receive applications from communities of interest- groups a group of people with a common interest or issue.
The funds will be targeted at neighbourhoods which are most affected by health inequalities.
The application deadline is March 14, at 1pm.
