THREE short walks were held across County Durham earlier this month as part of Time to Change’s Time to Talk day.

The walks were organised by Stamp it Out, a mental health anti-stigma and discrimination project in the county.

The walks, entitled Time to Talk, Time to Walk, sought to provide a friendly and open space for people to talk to one another about mental health.

Walks were held in Easington, Spennymoor, and Durham City, with several members of the Stamp it Out group being present in order to facilitate conversation and discuss their own experiences of mental health.

Following each walk, participants were asked to create a written pledge mentioning one way in which they could help to challenge stigma and discrimination in their everyday lives.
