POLICE have reappealed for information about a teenage boy who has been missing from a County Durham care home for five days.

Jordan Jeffrey Profit was last seen on Friday, January 5,  leaving his home in Framwellgate Moor, Durham.

The 16-year-old may be sleeping rough in Durham, potentially in Consett or Stanley but is also known to frequent the Newcastle area. Police say he may be in the company of an older female.

He is described as being 4ft 9in, of slim build with mousey hair.

He was last wearing a black sweater, black joggers, black baseball cap, black puffer body warmer and black Nike trainers.

Detective Chief Inspector Steve Thubron said: "With the weather conditions being as they are now we are very anxious to get hold of Jordan.

"He's not in any trouble at all, we just need to make sure we can safeguard him and look after his wellbeing."

Call 101 with any information on his whereabouts, quoting incident number 434.
