A NEW guidebook aimed at visitors to Durham has been published by local author Ross Hamilton.
Days out in Durham and the North East includes sections on what to see in and around the city as well as features on Durham’s special place in English history, the Miners’ Gala, the University and St Godric.
“Durham is among the most interesting cities in the world for its history and architecture,” said he author.
“It also has many wonderful and memorable views, thanks to the river valley that winds through the city.
“I hope the new guidebook will help visitors – and local readers – to discover and celebrate all that Durham’s heritage has to offer.”
Days out in Durham and the North East costs £7.99 and is available from shops and visitor attractions across the city including Durham Cathedral shop.
