HOME Secretary Amber Rudd was in the region today to see how a police force is tackling cyber crime.
Ms Rudd and Nick Hurd, minister for policing and the fire service, visited Durham Police’s headquarters to meet chief constable Mike Barton and Police and Crime Commissioner Ron Hogg.
Mr Barton said: “It’s good news that the Home Secretary and policing minister came to see what we’re doing here in Durham.
“We are extremely proud of our people and what they are achieving so it was great that a number of them were able to showcase their work to such an audience.”
