UP and coming young cricketers can reach for the stars in dashing new kit adorned by a new team crest.
Durham City’s under-11 side, known as The Comets, have newly designed logos on their shirts after a competition run among graphic design students at New College Durham.
Fourteen students took part in the competition to design the new look logo, with the winning entry submitted by students Tanis Scudder and Bailey Richards.
Club secretary Frank Orr presented awards to the pair on a visit to the college with former staff members, Ray Pallister and John Whitfield, who are both long-serving club officials at Durham.
Mr Pallister, a former president, and Mr Whitfield, the vice president, sponsored the award for what both agreed was, “a highly successful collaborative project”.
