FIVE North-East artists have been selected to be part of this year’s Lumiere festival in Durham.
The winning proposals are by Emma Boyes, a paper artist living in Cumbria, Finola Finn, a graduate student at Durham University, Aidan Moesby, a practising artist based in Gateshead, Chris Plant, a digital all-rounder based in Durham and Amy-Rose Welch, a visual arts student at New College Durham.
The winning ideas were chosen from a record-breaking 125 proposals submitted following the open call for ideas earlier this year.
They will have their work showcased at the festival as part of the Brilliant commissioning strand.
Lumiere is produced by Artichoke and commissioned by Durham County Council, with support from Arts Council England, Durham University and a host of funders and supporters.
Lumiere Durham will be held from November 16 to 19. For more details visit www.lumiere-festival.com
