A CAR dealership has won a regional award for its work helping people with disabilities to stay mobile.
Bristol Street Motors Ford Durham, in Carrville, was given the award from the Motability scheme, which allows people with disabilities to exchange their government-funded allowance for a new car.
General manager Nick Leech said: “Our Motability specialist Lisa Horner has worked very hard over the last 12 months to connect more eligible people with the scheme.
“Her hard work has paid off as this award shows. I’m always surprised at the number of people who aren’t aware of the benefits of Motability.
The award scheme is designed to reward best practice and ensure all Motability customers receive exemplary customer service.
