A SERVICE aimed at making people healthier is starting a new course to help people lose weight.
The Wellbeing for Life service is offering free class in Croxdale, near Durham City, to help people make healthier food choices.
The class runs every Monday between 1pm and 2.30pm at Croxdale Community Centre and will include a weekly weight in, recipe ideas and tips on a healthier lifestyle.
Health Trainer Jacklyn McCourt said: “Healthy eating is not just about managing your weight, it is also about improving your general wellbeing.
“There are many benefits of eating healthier and/or losing weight, the most important one is the reduced risk to your health.”
The service will work with people for eight sessions.
People can just turn up or for more information call Ms McCourt on 07833 593421.
