DURHAM’S MP is urging people to get involved with a consultation on whether to introduce new regulations to limit the number of to let boards in the city.
Durham County Council is considering introducing new rules to replace a voluntary code, which was introduced in 2009.
Roberta Blackman-Woods said: “Durham should be doing everything it can to make the city attractive for visitors and residents alike, and a preponderance of to let boards can be very unattractive indeed, and I very much look forward to working with Durham County Council and local residents to tackle this issue in the near future, and I urge members of the public to engage with this consultation.”
People have until February 17 to respond.
