DISRUPTION: Further lane closures planned for Gilesgate roundabout
DURHAM County Council is carrying out drainage work near the Gilesgate roundabout on the A690 in Durham. The inside lane and bus lane from the Belmont slip road will be closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm from Monday, November 28 and Friday, December 2.
John Reed, Durham County Council’s head of technical services, said: “This essential work needs to be carried out as we head into the winter months and more uncertain weather conditions.
“We have tried to minimise any disruption by undertaking the work during off-peak times but appreciate that there will still be delays and would like to apologise for any inconvenience to motorists.”
