AN inquest has opened into the death of a man who died in a North-East nightclub.
Stewart Anderson, 54, died on July 24 following an incident at Loveshack, in Durham.
Mr Anderson, from Hetton-le-Hole, was at the club in the early hours of the morning and died at the University Hospital of North Durham.
Police have arrested seven men on suspicion of manslaughter and an eighth on suspicion of a public order offence in connection with the incident.
No charges have been brought at this stage.
Coroner Andrew Tweddle opened and adjourned the inquest at Crook Coroner’s Court today (Tuesday).
