POLICE are appealing for help following the theft of jewellery from a house.
The break-in happened at a a property on Moor Crescent in Durham sometime between 9.50am and 12pm on Wednesday, September 21.
Police say the items taken are of sentimental value to the owners and are asking for anyone who knows where they might be to get in touch.
The items stolen include a silver “Les Howe” tree of life brooch, a silver chain with turquoise pendant, a gilt-edged enamel brooch, a silver oval locket with a celtic design on the front and a prayer on the reverse, a silver bangle with coloured metal leaves and a Durham Cathedral rose window pendant in blue enamel.
Anyone who was in the area at the time or has information on the whereabouts of the stolen items is asked to call Detective Constable Alan Meehan on 101.
