A FUNDRAISING ball later this year is being held to raise money for the two charities.

The event at Beamish Hall’s Winter Gardens in September will support the work of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and Willow Burn Hospice, near Lanchester.

Entertainment will be provided by a Michael Buble tribute performer.

Sir Bobby’s widow Lady Elsie said: “I’m very much looking forward to this night. The fundraising team at Willow Burn are working so hard to make it a special evening and I’m sure it will be.”

The former football manager’s foundation helps people across the region fighting cancer and Willow Burn Hospice, in Lanchester, treats people with incurable diseases.

Helen Mills, Willow Burn Hospice chief executive, said: “We are really looking forward to meeting our supporters in September and sharing this evening with the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, continuing to treasure lives within our community.”

The Charity Ball at Beamish Hall Hotel, near Stanley, is on September 16.

Tickets are priced at £55 and are available from Willow Burn Hospice by calling 01207-523-900 or emailing fundraising@willowburnhospice.org.uk.
