TWO bingo players at the same hall have scooped a total of £30,000 in two wins within days of each other.
The winning streak at Apollo Bingo Club, on Sherburn Road, Durham City, began when one player won the first £10,000 jackpot in the Majestic Bonus game.
A few days later, on Thursday, January 28, a 76-year-old woman won £20,000 on the National Game.
The club’s general manager, Eric Howell said: “I’m delighted for our two big winners.
“The atmosphere was electric when the amounts were confirmed and it was great to see our customers congratulating our lucky winners with hugs and handshakes all round.
“Apollo Durham is fast gaining a reputation of being the luckiest club in the Majestic Group.”
Majestic Bingo managing director Mark Jepp added: “This is our sixth recent win on the National Game across our clubs which is fantastic news for our customers.”
A special game linking all 15 Majestic Bingo clubs across the country is planned for Valentine’s Day, with a holiday for two to Florida up for grabs, along with cash prizes of £250 and £500.
