A FARM attraction will host a live nativity this Christmas season.

Broomhouse Farm, at Witton Gilbert, near Durham, is working with Durham Musical Theatre Company (DMTC) to stage the show on December 4 and 5.

Co-owner Jane Gray said: “We’re very excited to be hosting a live nativity this year.

“It’s something totally new for us but we wanted to celebrate Christmas in a traditional way and the idea of the nativity seemed such a lovely one.”

Visitors will be taken on a tour of the farm, meet the nativity characters and enjoy carols, mulled wine and mince pies, before sharing a home-cooked meal.

Mrs Gray added: “This is set to be a really magical event, perfect for families or anyone who wants to enjoy the Christmas story in a new way this year.

“We warmly invite children and adults alike to join us as we transform our farm into the set of one of the most wonderful stories ever told.”

Tickets are £16 for adults, £12 for children, including a meal. Under threes go free, but will not be catered for. To book, call 0191 3719697 or visit shop.broomhousedurham.co.uk
