A MOTORIST has been taken to hospital after a car overturned in a high street smash.
A black Toyota IQ turned onto its roof after colliding with a white Renault Clio on High Street, Carrville, Durham, at about 9.30am today.
A woman was freed from the wreckage and taken to hospital following the crash. No details of the injuries have yet been released.
Two fire engines and a special rescue unit were rushed to the scene.
The road was cleared by 10.30am.
