IT’S head first to the North-East for two acrobats from Down Under.
Thomas Gorham and Callan Harris, who perform as Head First Acrobats, are flip flopping and leaping their way from their native Australia to Durham City and Barnard Castle for August Bank Holiday weekend’s Durham Streets Summer Festival.
Their UK debut will see the Melbourne-based duo performing on all three days of the festival – in Durham on the Saturday and Sunday and Barnard Castle on the Monday.
Mr Harris said: “We’re pretty excited to be performing at our first ever UK festival.
“We’ve never been to Durham but we’ve heard it’s beautiful and we’ve also heard an awful lot about the Streets festival so we’re pretty excited.”
At Scar Top, Barnard Castle, on Bank Holiday Monday, the pair will perform the rarely seen Washington trapeze.
