A RADIOGRAPHER "humiliated" and "degraded" her colleagues by posting sexually offensive comments about them on Facebook, a tribunal was told.

Laura Turner allegedly sent a series of lewd messages to one of her co-workers about their colleagues at University Hospital North Durham.

She was suspended after the comments were shared in March 2014, a Health and Care Professionals Council misconduct tribunal was told.

In one message Ms Turner asked if he had "ever knocked 1 out over" one of their female colleagues and who he would want to be "tea-bagged" by.

She also said: "If u had to have 1 of the male radiologists stick a finger up ya a*** who would it be".

"U ever cum in someone's a***...or the other way round", she wrote.

Ms Turner is also accused of taking photographs with confidential patient information showing in the background and sharing them on Facebook.

Her line manager Judith Allen told the hearing that the messages were "humiliating" and "degrading".

"They (the victims) were absolutely humiliated and found it absolutely degrading," she added.

"The rest of the department was absolutely shocked at the content and shocked at the unprofessional behaviour.

"It sent a wave of shock around the rest of the Trust. There was general disbelief."

Ms Turner, who did not attend the hearing in Kennington, South London, previously claimed she was "easily led" and said her colleague "told me what to write".

She added that she is "disgusted with myself".

Ms Allen told the hearing Ms Turner was "immature" and added: "She didn't strike me as someone who would be easily led, she was someone with her own opinion and mindset."

She said Ms Turner was "blase" when she was suspended.
