EARLY rising photographers can go snap happy in Durham Cathedral next weekend (Saturday, May 2).
Photography inside the cathedral is usually banned but a special photography morning is planned for Saturday, May 2.
The morning was inspired by a photo taken last year by cathedral verger Rebekah Hewitt, who captured the rising sun shining through the cathedral’s Rose Window.
The event will run from 5am to 7.30am. Tickets are £10 per camera, including a cup of tea or coffee. No flash is allowed but tripods are welcome.
