ONE of the world’s greatest songwriters will perform in the region later this month (April 22).
Albert Hammond has penned hits including It Never Rains In California, The Air That I Breathe and One Moment In Time, worked with Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Neil Diamond, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner and many more and his songs have been responsible for 360 million record sales worldwide.
He is touring the UK and will perform at Durham’s Gala Theatre on Wednesday, April 22.
With a four-piece support band, Hammond will take his audience on a two-and-a-half hour tour of his musical career.
His new single is I Guess I Really Had It Coming and the record includes a version of It Never Rains In California and Changing Me, a duet with his son Albert Hammond Jr.
