CHILDREN have been celebrating World Book Day.
At Durham High School for Girls, pupils were involved in a storytelling marathon.
Younger children wore their pyjamas for the day and took in their favourite story book, while older pupils decorated classroom doors to resemble book covers.
Storyteller Chris Bostock was at Durham School, where pupils dressed up as their favourite fairytale character.
Tomorrow (Friday, March 6), older children will read to the younger ones and there will be a fancy dress contest.
