THE owners of a medieval hall are having a clear-out sale ahead of a new visitor centre opening in April.

Keith and Maggie Bell say they have accumulated various curious during their 20 years at Crook Hall and Gardens visitor attraction and want to sell some off before reorganising the Durham City visitor attraction ahead of a new visitor centre with cafe, shop and holiday flat opens in April.

The couple, who also live in the Hall, will sell a range of items including chairs, paintings, books, lamps, kitchen ware and office equipment on Sunday, March 8, from 9am to 11am.

Entry costs £1, inclusive of entry to the Hall and Gardens.

Every purchase will entitle the buyer entry into a raffle to win a family season ticket.

Crook Hall and Gardens is open on March 7, 14 and 21 to raise money for charity, from 11am to 3pm.
