A FAST-RISING West Country folk singer is bringing her music to the North-East for the first time.

Ange Hardy, from Somerset, includes two dates in the region during a short tour of live radio sessions and solo shows.

The Up and Right mini-tour features performances in intimate settings in Durham and Tynemouth.

Having just been nominated in the 2015 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards the acclaimed young singer will feature material from her ground breaking albums Bare Foot Folk and The Lament of The Black Sheep.

But, she will also preview songs from her forthcoming album and other projects.

The second night of the tour is in the quirky surrounds of The Old Cinema Launderette, in Marshall Terrace, Sunderland Road, Gilesgate Moor, Durham, on Thursday March 5, from 7pm.
