A CHARITY ball will raise money for research into Cystic Fibrosis.

The Diamond Rose Masquerade Ball will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Durham City, on Saturday, October 25.

Last year’s raised more than £4,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

This year, there will be a two-course dinner and comedy from Rudi West.

Organiser Rachel Thompson, from Bowburn, said: “We wanted to raise money for research into a cure for this horrendous, life-limiting disease which impacts on CF patients and their families every minute of every day.

“The most important thing is to keep raising awareness of the disease because people don’t know enough about it.

“The ball is a chance for families to get together, share experiences, have a few laughs and just show it doesn’t all have to be doom and gloom.”

Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited condition affecting the lungs and other parts of the body, making breathing difficult and shortening life. It affects more than 10,000 people in the UK.

Tickets for the ball are £35 each. To book, call Rachel Thompson on 07455-163-859 or email: bettyrachelsteven@gmail.com
