YOUNG photographers were rewarded for their creative efforts by a city’s mayor.
Councillor John Robinson, the Mayor of Durham, was among the judges when the winners of the children’s photography contest This Is My Durham were picked last month (August).
Competition entries were exhibited in the foyer of Durham Town Hall throughout August and on Friday (September 5) some of the young photographers made the visit to receive special certificates.
The Mayor treated them to a guided tour of the town hall and a tea party.
The competition, open to children aged 16 and under, was organised by the Durham City Chamber of Trade and Durham Photographic Society.
