THE success of a city’s first pride festival has led organisers to stage monthly events.
The inaugural Durham Pride festival for members of the LGBTQ - lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer - scene was held in June.
Now Out in Durham with Pride events will be held each month.
The first will be on Thursday (July 31) as Miss Tess Tickle, dubbed the Queen of Durham, will host an evening of music and fun at the Slug and Lettuce pub, Walkergate, Durham, from 8pm until late.
The event is free and open to all.
Further events will be held on the last Thursday of each month.
