AN ANNUAL folk festival returns this weekend (July 25-27).
This year’s Durham Folk Party is the 25th such event.
It will be held at venues across Durham City from Friday to Sunday.
There will be music and dancing at the Durham Amateur Rowing Club, on Green Lane, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, the Dun Cow, on Old Elvet, on Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes and in the Market Place throughout the weekend.
Enthusiasts will be camping at the rowing club for the weekend, which is organised by Durham City Folk Club.
Entry to all events is free and visitors are promised a “right old song and dance”.
