TICKETS are still available for an ambitious art show coming to Durham Cathedral on Easter Monday.

The AniMotion spectacular will combine art, architecture, music and technology.

Russian artist Maria Rud will paint live, responding to live music by various artists, with the results projected onto the cathedral by projection artist Ross Ashton, whose Crown of Light lit up three Lumiere Durham festivals with huge images from the Lindisfarne Gospels projected onto the cathedral.

There will be music by Dame Evelyn Glennie, David Heath, Dolphin Boy, Debussy and Askell Masson.

The performers include David Heath, a flautist and composer, and Dolphin Boy, a DJ and music producer.

AniMotion will be held in Durham Cathedral’s cloisters on Monday, April 21, at 8.30pm. The show lasts about 75 minutes.

Tickets are priced £15, or £12 for concessions. To book, visit the Gala box office, call 03000-266-600 or go online to galadurham.co.uk
