SHOPPERS can take part in a Cash Grabber game at The Gates shopping centre, in Durham, from August 17 to 24. Participants will have 30 seconds inside the Cash Grabber to battle against a wind machine and grab prize tokens, including for cash, vouchers and boobie prizes.
BON ACHORD: South Hetton Methodist Church will host musical group Bon Achord on Saturday (August 17) at 2pm. The concert will be followed by cream teas. Entry is £2 per person. All are welcome.
COMEDY CLUB: The Funny Bones Comedy Club returns to Durham’s Gala Theatre on Friday (August 16) from 7.45pm. The line-up is John Scott, Andy Watson and Paul McMullan, with Paul T Eyres as MC.
