A SPORTS and arts trust has won an award for its outstanding efforts to reduce smoking.
Leisureworks won the Outstanding Achievement award at the 2017 Solutions4Health event held at The Durham Centre in Belmont.
The awards scheme aims to celebrate positive achievements in contributing to healthy communities.
The award recognises Leisureworks’ rising rates of helping people quit smoking, its ongoing investment in the service and working relationship with Browney House Surgery, in Langley Park, where Leisureworks’ health trainers deliver their Smoking Cessation Clinic.
Senior health trainer Martin Hall said: “This is great news for us as an organisation.
“The staff are all dedicated to delivering the service and share a passion for supporting our clients”.
