A BUS driver was followed and assaulted in the street.
Police are appealing for information after the attack in Consett on Saturday, November 18.
The Go-North East driver was followed from Jugga’s Plaice fish shop at the junction of Albert Road and Middle Street at about 4pm.
He was followed along Middle Street and when he reached Mason Street, the back street next to the main doors of the Derwentside Shopping Arcade, was assaulted.
The attacker is described as being 6ft tall, of average build and wearing a black hooded top with paint splashes on and black pants.
He had a scarf covering his face.
