A SAILING and windsurfing open day is being held this weekend.
Derwent Reservoir Sailing Club, near Consett, is hosting the annual event on Saturday from 11am to 4pm
It will provide wetsuits for windsurfing, boots and buoyancy aids. Visitors should bring a change of clothing for sailing or swimwear to go under wetsuits for windsurfing.
It is advisable also to bring an old pair of trainers in case of a shortage of boots.
Club spokesman Maurice Cooper said: “The café and bar facilities will be open so visitors can take advantage of the fantastic location”.
The club is on the north shore of the reservoir around four miles east of Blanchland, and will be signposted locally.
The postcode for satellite navigation is DH8 9PT.
