DEVELOPERS have applied for planning permission for a self-build housing development on the edge of Lanchester
Beavertail Ltd has lodged an application with Durham County Council for outline planning permission for a 14-home development at The Paddock.
The application covers a three-acre site on the southern edge of the village and includes plans for an access road.
A public consultation exercise on the plan held at Lanchester Community Centre in February found that a majority of respondents were opposed to the proposed development.
