NORTH-WEST Durham MP Pat Glass has just announced that she is resigning as Shadow Secretary of State for Education - just two days after being appointed to the role.
The 59-year-old said on twitter: "My dream job but the situation is untenable."
On Tuesday Ms Glass confirmed she would not stand as an MP at the next General Election after receiving death threats while campaigning for Remain in the referendum on the UK's membership of the EU.
It is with a heavy heart that I have today resigned as Shadow SoS Education. My dream job but the situation is untenable
