ROAD resurfacing is underway in north Durham.
The work is being carried out in the Delves Lane area of Consett.
It will require the closure of the mini roundabout junction at the C16a Delves Lane and Gloucester Road, from 7am to 7pm on Sunday.
Three-way traffic lights will be in place on Tuesday.
Diversion routes and signs will be in place for drivers and buses using the route.
Access for local residents and businesses will be maintained.
John Reed, Durham County Council’s head of technical services, said the work was essential.
He added: “Our aim is to keep disruption to a minimum, however we’d like to thank people for their patience while these works take place.”
