POLICE have issued a fresh appeal for information about a smash that left a biker badly hurt.
The motorcyclist was seriously injured after his bike was involved in a collision with a car in the Consett area.
It happened at 5.30pm on Wednesday, January 20, as the Ducati 1000S bike headed down Werdohl Way in the Number One Industrial Estate, off Medomsley Road.
A silver Kia Picanto was heading in the opposite direction and the collision occurred as the car started to turn into one of the factory units.
The female driver of the car, from Consett was uninjured but the motorcyclist received serious injuries and is still in a critical condition at the University Hospital North Durham.
The rider is 49 years old and from Whitley Bay.
