THEFT: Durham police are investigating
POLICE are appealing for information after the theft of two plaques from a baby’s grave side.
The items are thought to have been stolen overnight August, 31 to September, 1 in Blackhill Cemetery, near Consett, County Durham.
The plaques both had messages on them. One said A Prince is Sleeping and the said You Are My Sunshine.
PC Steve Kirby said: “The family visits this grave everyday and the thought of someone stealing items from it is very distressing to them. I’d appeal for anyone who has information to call us as soon as possible on 101.”
