A HANDFUL of tickets are still available for a music and comedy night in aid of two popular charities.

Lady Elsie Robson, widow of Sir Bobby, has jointly organised the charity evening in All Saints RC Church Hall in Lanchester on August 28.

Funds raised on the night will be shared between Willow Burn Hospice and the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation and almost half of the tickets were reserved before they officially went on sale last week.

The night features singer Fiona Robson performing songs from the 1950s, 60s and 70s as well as comedy from David Greener.

Lady Elsie said: “Fiona is a good friend of mine and a wonderfully talented singer. She will be encouraging us all to join in and I’m sure it will be very memorable and enjoyable night.

“It’s been a great pleasure working with Willow Burn Hospice to organise things and I hope the event raises a good amount of money for the hospice and my husband’s cancer charity.”

Refreshments and a simple supper will be available and the doors open at 7pm.

Tickets, priced £10, are strictly limited and are available from Crystal Booth on 01207 523900.
