STAFF and residents at a care home celebrated the appointment of a dedicated new manager.
Kerry Bell worked at The Rosemount Home on Medomsley Road, in Consett, for nine years as a carer, supervisor and deputy manager before taking over the role of manager this month.
She was praised by her co-workers for her continuous passionate support of the care home.
In June 2014 she helped organise the care home’s 30th anniversary celebrations and in October she pioneered a fundraising event, including a raffle, auction, and live comedy act, to rally support for the home.
Mrs Bell said: “I’m absolutely thrilled about being appointed as manager because it’s what I’ve always wanted to do.
“I believe I can take the home forward and I’ll endeavour to do my best for the home because it’s something that’s close to my heart.”
