CELEBRITY chef Ainsley Harriott has been in the region to discuss his food range with producers.
The 57-year-old television presenter was in Consett, County Durham, where his new dishes will be made.
He chatted to staff at Symingtons as well as customers in Tesco during the visit last week.
Mr Harriott said: βIt was a privilege to meet all the guys and girls at the Symingtons Consett site and I am looking forward to working with them expanding the successful Ainsley range.β
Symingtons took over Tanfield Foods in Consett in October and the chef was working with the product development team at the factory on new products to be launched later this year.
He also visited the factory and got to know the people who are working on his product lines before stopping at the supermarket to chat to customers.
