POLICE have seized drugs worth £15,000 from two homes.
The houses were raided after two men, a 31-year-old man from Bridgehill and a 32-year-old from Consett, were arrested on suspicion of supplying a class A drug in Consett, County Durham, on Friday (November 14).
The arrests followed a stop check on a vehicle.
Police searched the men’s homes and seized white powder believed to be class A drugs with a street value of £15,000, plus £1,200 in cash.
The action was part of the ongoing Operation Boomerang.
Inspector Keith Wardle, of Consett neighbourhood policing team, said: “Police will continue to take positive action against persons involved in organised crime in the area.
“Operation Boomerang has been designed to target persons making money from crime and causing harm to the community.
“Police in Consett are committed to tackling criminals and making neighbourhoods safer for the public.”
Anyone with information on organised crime is asked to call Durham Police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
