POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a car crash which left a teenager in hospital.
The accident happened on Sherburn Terrace in Consett yesterday (TUES) afternoon at the junction with Steading Court.
The crash, which happened at 4.20pm, involved a grey Vauxhall Corsa and a grey Toyota Yaris.
A teenage girl, who was a rear seat passenger in the Toyota, suffered facial injuries and was taken to the University Hospital of North Durham for treatment.
Police say they want to trace a black Vauxhall Astra, which was at the scene of the crash.
The vehicle, believed to be driven by a female driver, left the scene heading towards Consett town centre.
Anyone with information is asked to ring Durham Police on 101.
