A PLAY for children is coming to the Empire Theatre in Consett.
The award-winning Scamp Theatre is bringing its production, Pirate Gran, based on the popular book by Geraldine Durrant and Rose Forshall, next month.
The show is on Saturday, May 3 at 1.30pm and is a theatrical live performance for audiences of all ages.
Recent highly acclaimed productions include Stick Man, and Tiddler and Other Terrific Tales.
Pirate Gran’s crew will be bought to life with puppetry designed by Toby Olié, associate puppetry director of the National Theatre’s production of War Horse.
The production is recommended for children aged three years and over, and their families.
Tickets are priced at £10 full, £8 concessions.
