A HAY baler was destroyed after it overheated in a North-East field.
Firefighters were called to Cocken White House Farm, Great Lumley, Chester-le-Street, County Durham at 2pm today.
It was being towed by a tractor and it is thought the bearings overheated.
A spokesman for County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service said: "It is common in agricultural vehicles."
