A POPULAR beer and music festival is to return at the end of this month.
The third annual festival staged at Philadelphia Cricket and Community Club will open on Friday, June 30
Organisers hope for a record-breaking crowd at the three-day festival, which attracted 800 visitors and 1300 last year.
Club chairman Malcolm Pratt said: “It really took off last year and it was a great weekend for the community.
“People enjoyed it so much that they told their friends and all the feedback is that even more will attend this year’s festival.
“There will be live bands all weekend.
“Hopefully, the weather will be kind but we’ll have a big marquee, just in case”.
The festival starts at 4.30 pm on the Friday when the headline act will be the Bryan Adams Experience.
Tickets cost £5 and include a free drink.
For the final two days, the event starts at noon with the Sleeze Sisters topping the bill on Saturday and Howaysis headlining on Sunday.
Tickets for the Saturday and Sunday are £10 , which will include two free drinks.
Weekend tickets costs £20 with five free drinks.
At least 30 cask ales and 10 ciders will be on offer throughout the three days.
Mr Pratt added: “We are now very much a community club and the one thing the festival has done is to bring people together”.
