A MAN has pleaded guilty to a string of sexual assaults involving two young children.
Dominic Francis Onions, from Bournmoor, near Chester-le-Street, appeared at Durham Crown Court today (Friday, July 8).
The 50-year-old, of Marigold Crescent, pleaded guilty to 11 charges involving the two boys.
He admitted eight offences, which took place between January 1 and May 31, including causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, engaging in sexual activity with a child, taking and making indecent photos, three sexual assaults of a child and sexual activity with a child.
He admitted a further three offence, committed on May 30, including abducting a child, sexual assault of a child and sexual activity with a child.
Judge Simon Hickey ordered reports to be carried out before he is sentenced later this month.
Addressing Onions, he said: “You have pleaded guilty to extremely serious offences. In my judgement, having seen your record and the offences to which you have pleaded guilty a dangerous finding is almost inevitable but I will give you the benefit of a report.”
Onions is due back at Durham Crown Court on July 29.
