EARLY bird ticket prices for an annual outdoor music festival will end next week.

Thousands of fans are expected at the all-day Fake Festival, in Chester-le-Street on Saturday, August 6 featuring some of Britain’s best tribute bands.

Queen tribute band Flash, Antarctic Monkeys and Stereotonics will headline the show in Riverside Park and organisers have now confirmed several of the support acts who will share the bill.

North-East bands Riverain, Edenthorn, The Firelight Opera and Sean Hainey will take to the stage during the show, which will also feature festival food and family entertainment.

Local event organiser Bec Evans said: “We’re amazed at the popularity of these one-day music festivals, but the quality of the tribute bands, the atmosphere generated inside our giant marquee and sheer value for money have made it the local event not to be missed.”

Early bird discount tickets are available until July 6, priced £17 for adults, £9 for people aged 10 to 17 and free for accompanied children under 10.

Tickets are available from www.fakefestivals.co.uk or from local outlets of Costcutter on the Garden Farm Estate and MJ O’Brien’s Newsagents on Chester-le-Street High Street.
