ENGLAND cricket star Ben Stokes delivered “Ashes” of a different kind when he took part in a firefighting training event.
The all-rounder joined his Durham club mates for a teambuilding event at Newcastle International Airport that saw the cricketers tackle fire scenarios using the airport’s appliances.
Having been denied a victory in their opening county championship match of the season by rain, Durham are next in action when they host Middlesex in a four-day match starting on Sunday, April 24.
