A HOTEL in north Durham has been a £125,000 makeover. The 20-room Travelodge on Great North North Road, in Chester-le-Street, has been transformed with a two week revamp. The investment is part of a nationwide £100m modernisation programme for the chain. Dean Carr, hotel anager at Chester-le-Street Travelodge said: “The fresh modern look at Chester-le-Street Travelodge is attracting fantastic guest feedback. So far this year at Chester-le-Street Travelodge we have enjoyed double digit growth due to the rise in business and leisure customers switching to us. Our new look hotel will ensure that we continue growing sales and cementing our position as the favourite hotel for value in the area.”
